Delivery Driver Policy

Purpose
This policy outlines the guidelines and responsibilities for individuals who act as delivery drivers on the Noirajya platform.
Drivers play a key role in connecting local shops with their customers, ensuring safe, timely, and transparent delivery of goods within their local area.
Scope
This policy applies to all Noirajya users who voluntarily perform or coordinate delivery activities through the platform, regardless of location or frequency.
Driver Status
- Noirajya does not employ or contract delivery drivers.
- Drivers are independent participants who use the platform to connect with shops and customers.
- Registration as a driver occurs through a standard customer account — there is no separate driver registration process.
- All delivery arrangements, including payments, routes, and timings, are coordinated directly between the driver and the shop or customer through the in-app chat system.
- Drivers are not employees, agents, or representatives of Noirajya, and the platform holds no responsibility for employment-related claims or benefits.
Responsibilities
Drivers are expected to:
- Maintain clear communication with both shops and customers through the chat system.
- Handle goods with care and deliver promptly as agreed.
- Ensure accurate delivery of the correct items and maintain proof of delivery when possible.
- Manage cash on delivery (COD) responsibly and hand over payments to shops as agreed.
- Respect local traffic laws, customer privacy, and community safety at all times.
Earnings & Payments
- Drivers set and negotiate their own delivery fees directly with shops or customers.
- Noirajya does not charge any commission on delivery income.
- All delivery payments are managed directly between the involved parties, either offline or through mutually agreed methods.
- Noirajya does not handle delivery payments or disputes related to such transactions.
Safety & Conduct
Drivers must:
- Use only safe and legal vehicles for deliveries.
- Maintain valid driving licenses and insurance where required.
- Refrain from any form of harassment, fraud, or unsafe behavior.
- Avoid collecting or using customer data for any purpose outside the delivery process.
- Report suspicious activity, unsafe situations, or disputes to Shops, fellow Delivery Drivers & Local Authorities immediately.
Communication Guidelines
- Use the in-app chat responsibly for coordinating orders and deliveries.
- Avoid spam, harassment, or unrelated promotions in chats or groups.
- Group chats between drivers and shops are allowed but must maintain professional and respectful conduct.
Liability Disclaimer
- Noirajya acts only as a digital communication and discovery platform.
- The platform does not guarantee the quality, safety, or reliability of delivery services performed by individual drivers.
- Any loss, damage, theft, or misconduct during delivery is the sole responsibility of the involved parties.
- Noirajya may, at its discretion, suspend or remove accounts found violating community or legal standards.
Account Suspension
Drivers (or any user acting as one) may face temporary or permanent suspension if they:
- Engage in fraudulent, unsafe, or unethical conduct,
- Receive repeated complaints from shops or customers, or
- Use the platform for unauthorized purposes.
Dispute Resolution
In case of a dispute between drivers, shops, or customers, Noirajya recommends involving mutually agreed upon respected persons from the local community to help reach a fair resolution.
Noirajya may offer optional support to facilitate communication in the future but is unable to provide such support at the current time.
Noirajya is not responsible for enforcing settlements, refunds, or compensation.
Users are encouraged to maintain clear proof of delivery and payment agreements for their own protection.
Driver Verification
Noirajya may introduce voluntary driver verification or identity confirmation features in the future to enhance trust and safety within the community.
Policy Updates
Noirajya may update this policy periodically to reflect legal or operational changes. Continued use of the platform after updates implies acceptance of the revised policy.
